Alberto Nira, of Hondo, age 94, passed away on July 18, 2019 in Hondo, Texas. Alberto was born in Hondo, Texas on November 15, 1924 to Agapito Nira and Teresa Villa.
Alberto is preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Oswaldo Nira, Conrado Nira, and Ernesto Nira; sister: Amelia Compos, and son-in-law: Luis M. Badillo.
Alberto is survived by his loving wife: Emilia Nira; son: Armando Nira (Sylvia); daughters: Olga Diana Wolff and Delia N. Badillo; sister: Herminia Pena, also eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at Hondo Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 22, 2019 at Hondo Funeral Home. An interment will follow in Hondo Cemetery.
