Amalia "Chula" Perez

Amalia “Chula” Perez, age 73 of Hondo, Texas passed away June 10, 2020.  Amalia was born on January 5, 1947 in Hondo, Texas to Rufino and Guadalupe Martinez, Sr.

Amalia is preceded in death by her parents: Rufino and Guadalupe Martinez, Sr., Son: Jack Perez, Jr., Mother-in-Law: Antonia Perez; Sisters: Amalia Martinez, and Eugenia “Bebe” Contreras; and her Brother: Joe Albert Martinez, Sr.

Amalia is survived by her Husband: Jack Perez; Daughter: Sally Perez; Son: Joaquin Perez; Sisters: Olga Contreras (Leonardo), and Susan Cabrera; Brothers: Rufino Martinez, Jr. (Carmel), Roman Ernesto Martinez (Rosa), John Henry Martinez (Linda), and Frank Martinez (Melissa); Grandchildren: Armando Krystian Hernandez, Andrue Xavier Perez, Genesis Echavarria, and Angelina Krysette Perez; her Great-Grandchild: Krystian Josiah Perez; and her Nephew: Sammy Cabrera

A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a rosary recited at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 15, 2020 in the main chapel at Hondo Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 11:30 a.m. at Hondo Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Hondo Funeral Home.
