Angelita M. Mejia

Angelita Martha Mejia, age 83, of D’Hanis, Texas, passed away on April 20, 2023, in D’Hanis. Angelita was born in San Antonio, Texas on March 26, 1940, to Sara and Ernesto Mejia.

Angelita is preceded in death by her husband: Eusebio G. Tapia; parents: Sara and Ernesto Mejia; daughters: Joann Tapia, and Manuela Casarez; son: Ysidro Casarez; and siblings: Estella Mejia, Raul Mejia, and Richard Mejia.

Angelita is survived by her sons: Ruben Campos (Pamela), Joe Anthony Tapia (Jerika), Robert Tapia (Valerie Villa), Ernest Tapia (Ana), Giovanni Tapia (Crystal), and Miguel Mejia; daughters: Rosario Elizondo (Larry), Angelita Sauceda (Victor), Mary Lira (the late Concepcion), Debra Tapia, Estella Alejandro (Ale), and Darlynn Mejia; sisters: Beatrice Herrera, and Sylvia Silva; brothers: Ernest Mejia, Jr., Andres Rodriguez, Paul Mejia, Domingo Rodriguez, and Henry Mejia; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Hondo Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with recitation of the rosary at 7:00 p.m.  Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
