Beatrice Garcia

Beatrice R. Garcia, age 89, of Hondo, Texas, passed away on September 20, 2021, in Hondo, Texas. Beatrice was born in San Antonio, Texas on October 29, 1931, to Librado and Anita Rendon.

Beatrice is preceded in death by her husband: Marcos Garcia, Sr.; son: Marcos Garcia; parents: Librado and Anita Rendon; 2 sisters; 5 brothers; granddaughters: Cindy Garza, and Jennifer Garcia; daughter-in-law: Felice Garcia; and sons-in-law: Epifanio De Los Santos and Jose Martin De La Cruz.

Beatrice is survived by her sons: Rogelio Garcia (Elena), Marcos Garcia, Jr. (Patsy), Arnulfo Garcia, and Jose Garcia (Mary Ann); daughters: Lydia De Los Santos, Anita Rodriguez (Johnny), Ester Gonzales (Armando), Isabel Quintanilla (Rudy), Norma De La Cruz, and Marivel Garcia; sister: Lala Arguello; 31 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers: Jose De La Cruz, Joshua Rodriguez, David Avila, Jimmy Garcia, Matthew Ramirez, Randy Ramirez, and Kaedin Garcia.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2021, followed by recitation of the rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Hondo Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021, at St. John’s Catholic Church, followed by interment at Hondo cemetery.
