Carlos G. Barrientes, Sr., of Hondo, age 78, passed away on November 5, 2019 in San Antonio, Texas. Carlos was born in Hondo, Texas on December 18,1940 to Ramon and Timotea Barrientes.

Carlos is preceded in death by his parents; his son: Ramon Barrientes; brothers: Juan Barrientes and Arturo Barrientes; and sister: Olga Barrientes.

Carlos is survived by his loving wife: Carmen Barrientes; his son: Carlos Barrientes, Jr. (Sylvia); daughter: Timotea Barrientes; sisters: Guadalupe Martinez (Pedro) and Elsa Barrientes; also 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 8, 2019 at Iglesia Vino Nuevo, 1508 Ave U, Hondo, Texas 78861. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Iglesia Vino Nuevo, 1508 Ave U, Hondo, Texas 78861. An interment will follow in Hondo Cemetery.
