Dominga Garcia, of Yancey, Texas, age 85, passed away on September 13, 2019 in Hondo, Texas. Dominga was born on May 20, 1934 in Hondo, Texas to Daniel, Sr. and Maria Carrillo.
Dominga is preceded in death by her parents; husband: Sostenes Garcia, Sr.; brothers: Amador Carrillo, Reymundo Carrillo, Louis Carrillo, Daniel Carrillo, Jr.; and sisters: Thomasa Gauna and Romana DeLeon.
Dominga is survived by her sons: Sostenes Garcia, Jr. (Lydia) and Fidencio Garcia (Norma); sisters: Rosita Gallegos, Leonor Garcia, Yolanda Lopez (Richard), Janie Sarabia (David); brothers: Emilio Carrillo (Tina) and Santiago Carrillo; grandchildren: Jason Garcia (Kelly), Billy Garcia (Marlynn), and Marissa Garcia; great-grandchildren: Gavin Garcia, Grace Garcia, and Zayden Gonzales; also numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a rosary beginning at 7 p.m. on Monday, September 16, 2019 at Hondo Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at St. John’s Catholic Church. An interment will follow in Yancey Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Hondo Funeral Home.
