Elisa Gomez, of Hondo, age 94, passed away on August 24, 2019 in Hondo, Texas. Elisa was born in Hondo, Texas on July 29, 1925 to Andres Lopez and Amelia Bernal.
Elisa is preceded in death by her husband: Crespin Gomez, Sr.; parents: Andres and Amelia Lopez; sons: Crespin Gomez, Jr. and Hector Gomez; brother: Manuel Lopez; sisters: Lile Herrera, Consuelo Robles, Maria Barrios, and Fina Garcia.
Elisa is survived by her daughter: Delia G. Benavides; grandchildren: Casey Benavides, Garret Benavides (Ali), Giezel Benavides (Marcos Perez), Erick Gomez, and Nicholas Gomez, and eight great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. with a rosary recited at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Hondo Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Hondo Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hondo Cemetery.
