Emma Cuellar

Emma G. Cuellar, age 81, of Hondo, Texas, passed away on April 9, 2021 in Hondo, Texas. Emma was born in Lytle, Texas on August 19, 1939 to Santiago V. and Antonia Garcia.

Emma is preceded in death by her husband: Felix H. Cuellar, III; son: Albert “Baylor” Cuellar; parents: Santiago V. and Antonia Garcia; brothers: Juan Garcia and Guillermo Garcia; daughter-in-law: Rebecca T. Cuellar; and son-in-law: Luciano Garcia.

Emma is survived by her sons: Johnny Cuellar (Clemencia Garcia) and Felix Eddie Cuellar; daughters: Virginia Alejandro (Jesse), Veronica Torres (Bobby), Anna Garcia (Gary), Elizabeth Alejandro (Freddy), and Sandra Cuellar; sister: Anita Chapa (Richard); brothers: Jesus Garcia; Fernando Garcia (Dora), and Henry Juarez (Valerie); sisters-in-law: Nora Garcia, Estella Garcia, Frances Salazar, and Rose Cuellar; 15 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., with rosary beginning at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church, followed by interment at Hondo Cemetery.
