Ernestina Alcaraz Alvarado, of Hondo, went to be with the Lord on May 8, 2019 at the age of 93. Ernestina was born on November 11, 1925 in Hondo to Manuel Alcaraz Sr. and Antonia Alarcon Alcaraz.
Ernestina is preceded in death by her husband: Jose B. Alvarado; Parents; Brothers: Manuel Alcaraz Jr., Concepcion Alcaraz, and Pascual Alcaraz; sister: Valentina Alcaraz; and son-in-law: Paz Lara Jr.
Ernestina is survived by her: sons: Joe Ramon Alvarado, Joe Anthony Alvarado, and Jake Eric Alvarado (Aimee); daughters: Sandy Delgado and Elsa Lara; sister: Celia Barrera (Alfredo); 6 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary held at 7:00 p.m. at Hondo Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at St. John’s Catholic Church. An interment will follow in Hondo Cemetery.
