Harvey Guadalupe Rivera, age 75, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on June 5, 2022, in San Antonio. Harvey was born in Brownwood, Texas, on May 28, 1947, to Vera Gutierrez Bendele.
Harvey is preceded in death by his loving wife: Elsa Salazar Rivera; son: Harvey G. Rivera, Jr.; parents: Irwin and Vera Bendele; brother: Fidel Rivera, Jr.; and sister: Jane Chichester.
Harvey is survived by his son: Jonathan Rivera; daughters: Christina Valles (Alvino), Jeannette Escamilla (Alvin), and Suzanne Cuellar (Michael); sisters: Mary Garcia, and Beatrice Tapia; 8 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at Hondo Funeral Home on Friday, June 10, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with recitation of the rosary at 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow beginning at 7:30 p.m. at Hondo Funeral Home.
Services will conclude following the funeral service.
Services are under the direction of Hondo Funeral Home.
