Isabel C. Moncada

Isabel Moncada, age 84, went to be with the Lord on June 28, 2023. He was born in Yancey, Texas on July 8, 1938 to Gregorio and Anastacia Moncada. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, son, brother, Papo to many, and the #1 Dallas Cowboy fan.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years: Amelia Moncada; his parents: Gregorio and Anastacia Moncada; brother: Antonio Moncada; and sister: Maria Guerra. Isabel is survived by his daughter: Dora Moncada; son: Gilbert Moncada (Debra); grandchildren: Anjelica Moncada- Gonzales (Luis), Zacharia Moncada and Benjamin Moncada; brothers: Manuel Moncada, Guadalupe Moncada, and Juan Moncada; sister: Reyes Lopez, Eugenia Pedroza, Martha Sanchez and Lusia Neuman.

Rosary services will be held on Wednesday July 5th, at Hondo Funeral Home 2910 Avenue E Hondo TX 78861, with viewing at 5pm and rosary following at 7pm. Funeral will be held on Thursday July 6th at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 2102 Avenue J Hondo TX 78861 with mass at 11 am and burial to follow at Yancey cemetery.
