Joe Raymond Alvarado aka "Shorty Joe" of Hondo, Texas passed away February 13, 2023, at the age of 69. Shorty Joe was born April 12, 1953, to Jose and Ernestina Alvarado.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents: Jose and Ernestina Alvarado; and his brother in law: Paz Lara.
Joe is survived by his children, Jake (Aimee) Alvarado, Joe Anthony Alvarado, Jasmin (Iris) Alvarado, Tina (Luciano) Lazcano and Codey Joe (Melissa) Alvarado, two sisters: Elsa Lara and Sandy Delgado, 22 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 3 Nieces and 1 nephew, who loved him very much.
A viewing will be held at Hondo Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 1st, 2023, from 10am-4pm. Joe Raymond will be laid to rest on Thursday, March 2nd 2023, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 11:15am.
