Jose Ysmael Chavez, age 61, of Yancey, Texas, passed away on May 19, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas. Jose was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on December 4, 1959 to Antonia DeLeon Chavez and Candido Ramos.

Jose is preceded in death by his mother: Antonia DeLeon Chavez; father: Candido Ramos; stepmother: Maria Ellen Ramos; stepbrother: Ismael Ramos; and in-laws: Manuel and Petra Gonzalez Reyes.

Jose is survived by his loving wife: Rose Reyes Chavez; daughters: Crystal Lynne Chavez, and Kattie Chavez; sisters: Linda Bayerlein, Ofra Franco, Alicia Valdez, Delfina Galvan, and Anna Chapa; and brother: Candido Ramos, Jr.
