Jose Rivera

Jose Rivera, age 91, of D’Hanis, Texas, passed away on January 5, 2022, in D’Hanis. Jose was born in Fort Worth, Texas on February 15, 1930, to Maria and Abraham Rivera.

Jose is preceded in death by his daughter: Maria De Jesus Robles.

Jose is survived by his loving wife: Eleuteria Rivera; sons: Obed Rivera, Jorge Rivera (Zelia), Jose Rivera (Marisol), Edgar Rivera (Mari), and Cesar Rivera (Jessica); daughters: Sylvia Zapata, Elsa Aguilar (Daniel), Noemi Rivera (Carlos), Alicia Zavala (Mario), Ponie Sandoval (Alfredo), and Perla Torres (Alejandro); numerous grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 7, 2022, at Hondo Funeral Home. The visitation will continue on Saturday, January 8, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by recitation of the rosary at 1:00 p.m., at Hondo Funeral Home.
