Juan M. Gomez, Jr.

June 14th, 1976 - February 15th, 2025

Juan M. Gomez Jr., affectionately known as "Juanio," passed away on February 15, 2025, at the age of 48. Born in Rochelle, Illinois, to Mary Christina Gomez and Juan R. Gomez, he lived a life marked by love, faith, and service.

From a young age, Juanio cherished time with his family, creating lasting memories on trips to Garner State Park, the beaches of Corpus Christi, and visits to relatives in Aurora, Illinois. He shared a love for wrestling with his father and grandfather, a passion that stayed with him throughout his life.

During his school years, he was known for his sharp wit, protective nature, and playful spirit. Though undeniably intelligent, he often preferred humor and the show "Little House on the Prairie" over academics.

Above all, Juanio’s greatest joy in life was being a father. He loved his children, Jordan and Madison, with all his heart and took immense pride in them. They were his greatest blessings, and he cherished every moment with them.

Throughout his career, Juanio worked in various roles but found his true passion in carpentry. He was a dedicated member of the St. John Bosco Men's Club and a First Degree Knight of Columbus, serving his church and community with unwavering devotion. He found joy in thrifting and crafting with his sister and was a devoted fan of his favorite sports teams—the Michigan Wolverines, Chicago Cubs, and Chicago Bears.

Juanio's faith and love for his family were the cornerstones of his life. He is survived by his beloved children, Jordan and Madison; his mother, Mary; his sisters, Santa Teresa Trevino (Frank), Guadalupe "Laly" Peralta, and Irma Linda Vasquez (Roger); his brothers, Juan Ernesto "Ernie" Peralta (Tiffany) and Jaime G. Gomez (Deandra); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

He was a man of wisdom, skill, and humor, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter.

Juanio is now reunited in eternal rest with his father, grandparents, and sister Christina, embraced in the grace of the Lord he so faithfully served.
