She was preceded in death by her loving granddaughter Rhandee Lewis, her best friend JoAnn Stearns and her parents, Albert and Betty Kraft.
Judy was born in St. Louis, MO on April 3, 1941. Her family moved to San Antonio where she graduated from Jefferson High School and went on to Southwest Texas State University where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Education. She had a successful career with the San Antonio Independent School District dedicating a majority of her years to teaching, cultivating and guiding her students at Page Middle School. There were many young lives touched by her compassion, patience, and wisdom. She was a mother first and a teacher at heart. After retirement, Judy moved to Pleasanton, TX to live in the country as she had always wanted, surrounded by her horses, cows, and dogs.
Judy had a passion for making others laugh. She loved caring for others, shopping, and going out to eat. She also loved riding and being around her horses. Her love for horses spilled over to her collection of Painted Ponies. Spending time with Judy was always an adventure for friends and family. You never knew where you would end up or what new road you would find. She had a sweet little twang in her voice and was best known for her quick wit, her exciting adventures and her compassionate spirit. She will be forever missed.
Our mother was an example of devotion and sacrifice during the many years she spent raising us. We will be forever indebted to our beloved mother for her selfless dedication and love that she provided us each and every day. Mom, our love for you is like an invisible elastic band. No matter how far you go we are always connected.
