Julio Marcus Gomez

Julio Marcus Gomez, age 49, of D’Hanis, Texas, passed away on July 18, 2023, in San Antonio. Julio was born in Hondo, Texas on July 24, 1973, to Vicenta and George M. Gomez.

Julio is preceded in death by his father: George M. Gomez; and his great-nephew: Ryan Samuel Fehr.

Julio is survived by his mother: Vicenta “Chala” Gomez; sisters: Georgia Mares, and Anna Gomez; nieces: Julysa Mares (John Gill), Bobby Fehr (Christoffer), and Elizabeth Shearrow (Cordell Smith); nephew: Juan Pedro Mares (Tiffany Trevino); great-nephew: Nikolai Shearrow; and great-nieces: Allison Fehr, and Kaylani Mares.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., followed by recitation of the rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Hondo Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. Services will conclude after mass.

Services are under the direction of Hondo Funeral Home.
