Manuel De Leon, Sr.

Manuel De Leon, Sr., age 93, of Yancey, Texas, passed away on October 13, 2023, in Yancey. Manuel was born in Donna, Texas on June 13, 1930, to Ignacia and Felix De Leon.

Manuel is preceded in death by his wife: Ramona De Leon; and sons: Felix De Leon, Armando De Leon, and Antonio De Leon.

Manuel is survived by his sons: Elijio De Leon (Irene), and Manuel De Leon, Jr. (the late Yvonne); daughters: Margie Bell (the late Larry), Rita Williams (Victor), Inez Schmidt, and Mary Hernandez (Steve); 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Hondo Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., followed by recitation of the rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. John’s Catholic Church on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at 1:00 p.m., followed by interment at Yancey Cemetery.
