Maria M. Steinmacher

Maria Morima Steinmacher, age 72, of Hondo, Texas, passed away on April 13, 2025, in Hondo. Maria was born in Hondo, Texas on September 22, 1952, to Celestina and Francisco G. Gonzales.

Maria is preceded in death by her husband: Walter P. Steinmacher; son: Anthony Rodriguez; parents: Francisco G and Celestina Gonzales; and infant brother: Francisco Gonzales, Jr.

Maria is survived by her daughter: Aimee Alvarado (Jake); sisters: Noelia Rex (Rodney), and Betty Benitez (Cleveland); 4 grandchildren: Angela Ramirez, Jannet Ramirez, Dayton Rodriguez, and Ryan Rodriguez; and 3 great-grandchildren: Marcus Gonzales, Matthew Gonzales, and Micah Gonzales.

A visitation will be held at Hondo Funeral Home on Thursday, April 24, 2025, beginning at 12:00 p.m., followed by Recitation of the Rosary at 1:30 p.m., and concluding with a funeral service at 2:00 p.m.

Services are under the Direction of Hondo Funeral Home.
