Mildred Jane Hancock

Mildred Jane Hancock, age 95, of Hondo, Texas, passed away on December 29, 2021, in Hondo. Mildred was born in Hondo, Texas on February 13, 1926, to Ida and Henry E. Lindeburg.

Mildred is preceded in death by her first husband: C.L. “Cap” Wernette; second husband: Ralph Hancock; sons: Troy Wernette, and Blake Wernette; parents: Henry and Ida Lindeburg; sister: Doris Saathoff; and brother: Buddy Lindeburg.

Mildred is survived by her daughters: Joni Gregory, and Starr Schuehle (Henry); brother: Dale Lindeburg; grandchildren: Brooke Kaupert (Jason), Shane Trip, Chance Trip (Nicole), Tanner Schuehle, Paige Schuehle, Christi Dobbs, and Cole Wernette; seven great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 31, 2021, at Quihi Cemetery.
