Pedro S. “Pajaro” Martinez, of Hondo, Texas, age 77, passed away on February 23, 2020 in Hondo, Texas. Pedro was born on October 19, 1942 in Hondo, Texas to Rumaldo and Elena Sanchez Martinez
Pedro is preceded in death by his parents; and his daughter: Patricia Martinez.
Pedro is survived by his loving wife: Lupe Martinez; sons: Pedro “Boy” Martinez, Joe Albert Martinez, and Jerry Anthony Valles; daughters: Leticia Cardenas and Rebecca Hancock (Nathan); sisters: Vale Mendez (Juan), Mary De Leon (the late Robert), Guadalupe Martinez, and Ostalia Martinez, and 6 grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Hondo Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 28, 2020 at St. John’s Catholic Church. An interment will follow in Hondo Cemetery.
