Ramiro Ortiz, age 83, of D’Hanis, Texas, passed away on August 4, 2023, in D’Hanis. Ramiro was born in D’Hanis, Texas on April 6, 1940, to Feliciana and Amadeo Ortiz.

Ramiro is preceded in death by his parents: Amadeo and Feleciana Ortiz; Brothers: Amadeo, Gilberto, Leandro, Alejandro, Ismael, Nemesio and Basilio Ortiz; Sisters: Balbina Orosco, Oralia Dominguez, Carolina Garcia and Dominga Hernandez.

Ramiro is survived by his wife: Alicia Ortiz; Son: Dr. Gabriel Ortiz (Veronica); Daughters: Monica De Leon (Roland), Rebecca Ortiz Rodriguez ( Marcelo) and Veronica Hernandez (David); Grandchildren: 11; Great-Grandchildren: 11

A visitation will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at 8:30 a.m., followed by recitation of the rosary at 9:30 a.m. A funeral Mass will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 At 10:00 a.m., followed by interment at San Francisco Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Hondo Funeral Home.
