Raul B. Coronado

Raul Blanco Coronado, age 76, of Hondo, Texas, passed away on March 20, 2023, in Hondo. Raul was born on November 3, 1946, to Lydia B., and Jose T. Coronado.

Raul is preceded in death by his wife: Maria Coronado; sons: Michael Garcia, and Sammy Coronado; stepson: Hector Colbenson; father: Jose Coronado; grandmother: Ramona Perez; and brothers: Sonny Schmidt, and Julio Rodriguez.

Raul is survived by his son: David Martinez; daughter: Criselda Coronado; sisters: Lynn Castillo, and Ida Garza; grandchildren: Roger Contreras, Jr., Angela Frausto, Annabelle Luna, Kristopher Garcia, Kevin Garcia; step-grandchildren: Anthony Gonzales, Felicia Gonzales, Vanessa Figueroa, Rogelio Lopez, David Martinez, Nicholas Martinez, Stephanie Contreras, Audrey Colbenson, Jaimie Colbenson, Karlie Colbenson; and 32 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., followed buy recitation of the rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Hondo Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at St John’s Catholic Church, followed by interment at Hondo Cemetery.
