Reyes C. Escamilla, Jr.

Reyes C. Escamilla, Jr., age 80, of Hondo, Texas, passed away on February 12, 2023, in San Antonio. Reyes was born on June 8, 1942, to Maria Velia, and Reyes Escamilla, Sr.

Reyes is preceded in death by his wife: Evangelina R. Escamilla; parents: Reyes, Sr., and Maria Velia Escamilla; and brother: John Henry Escamilla.

Reyes is survived by his son: James Ray Escamilla; daughters: Grace E. De Leon (Oscar), and Patricia E. Valenzuela (Joe, Jr.); sisters: Irma Garcia (Larry), Rosalinda Garcia (Juan Mario), and Maria Alicia Campos (the late Aldolfo); brothers: Daniel Escamilla (Martha), Efrain Escamilla (Eudelia), and Ernest Escamilla; sister-in-law: Irene Escamilla; and 4 grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., followed by recitation of the rosary at 10:00 a.m., and funeral mass beginning at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hondo Cemetery
