Rosa S. Gonzales, age 92, of Hondo, Texas, passed away on January 11, 2022, in Hondo. Rosa was born in Devine, Texas on October 20, 1929, to Rosalio and Emelia Mendoza Silva.
Rosa is preceded in death by her husband: Jose R. Gonzales; parents: Rosalio and Emelia Mendoza Silva; brother: Rudy Silva, Sr.; sisters: Guadalupe Solis and Clara Silva; and son-in-law: Armando Y. Gonzales.
Rosa is survived by her sons: Joe S. Gonzales (Cindy) and Adrian Gonzales; daughters: Margie G. Gonzales and Josephine Santillano; sister: Gilda Silva; 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., a rosary will be recited beginning at 7 p.m. followed by a funeral service beginning at 7:30 p.m. at Hondo Funeral Home.
