Rudy R. “Muerto” Oranday, of Hondo, Texas, age 63, passed away on January 30, 2020 in Hondo, Texas. Rudy was born on January 2, 1957 in Hondo, Texas to Julio, Sr. and Isabel Oranday.
Rudy is preceded in death by his parents and brothers: Maximo Oranday, Carlos Martinez, and Jesse Oranday, Sr.
Rudy is survived by his partner: Lisa Palacios; children: Adan Oranday, Cassandra Oranday Guajardo (Armando, Jr.); sisters: Sylvia Oranday (Chico) and Lupita Oranday; brother: Julio Oranday, Jr. (Dora); and grandchildren: A.J. Oranday, Sofia Oranday, and Khloe Palacios; also, numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2020 at Hondo Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at St. John’s Catholic Church. An interment will follow in Hondo Cemetery.
