Susan Denise Garza

Susan Denise Garza, age 43, passed away on March 12, 2019 in Yancey, Texas. Susan was born in Camden, Arkansas on March 29, 1975 to Roy E. Sims and Glenda R. Lamkin.

One of her greatest passions in life was being able to serve others. She volunteered in the community and church, helped as a den mother for boy scouts, youth soccer coach, St. Louis Day volunteer, and serving meals on Thanksgiving were just a few of the ways she enjoyed serving others. She enjoyed the outdoors, baking, and crafts. But most of all she loved spending time with her friends and family.

Susan is preceded in death by her parents: Roy E. Sims and Glenda R. Pepper; father-in-law: Roman Garza; and stepfather: Bruce Caldwell.

Susan is survived by her son: Robert Garza, Jr.; husband: Robert Garza Sr.; Sister: Jan Quintana (Luis); brothers: Glenn Sims (Rebecca), Allen Sims (Terri), and Harold Sims (Milos); nieces: Aimee Garcia (Nathan), Isla Garcia, Lili Serrano, and Roseleigh Quintana; nephews: Clayton Sims, Carter Sims, Wade Sims, Allex Quintana (Daisy), Aaron Quintana, Tex Garcia, and Taeton Sims; stepfather: John Pepper; mother-in-law: Phyliss Garza.
