Yolanda R. Saldana

Yolanda Rabago Saldana, age 71, of Hondo, Texas, passed away on April 11, 2023, in San Antonio. Yolanda was born in San Antonio, Texas on August 3, 1951, to Petra and Pedro Rabago.

Yolanda is preceded in death by her daughter: Cristina Saldana Oranday; niece: Hopie Mercado; sister: Alicia (Alfred) Gendorf; sister: Inez (Arturo) Gutierrez; parents: Petra and Pedro Rabago; and her fur baby: Coco Garcia.

Yolanda is survived by her companion: Juan “Black” Garcia; son: Geno (Leti) Saldana; fur baby: Butterball Garcia; sisters: Erma (Bobby) Curtis, and Carolina Ramirez; brothers: Robert (Robert) Rabago, and Pete (Linda) Rabago; grandchildren: Trudi (Pedro) Saldana Fernandez, Julian Saldana, Geno Saldana, Jr. (Anay Silva), Candice Hernandez, and Camryn Oranday; and great-grandchildren: Vicente Lords, LeSaundra Adia Fernandez, Alejos Silviano Fernandez, and Velina Evelyn Guajardo.

A visitation will be held at Hondo Funeral Home on Monday, April 17, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with recitation of the rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at 11:30 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church, followed by interment at Hondo Cemetery.
